La Cinquième Couche (The 5th Layer), or 5c, is an independent publishing house, based in Brussels, which mainly publishes comic books, or comic-related books. Most of these books have a connection with comic strips, although not always. We believe comics are a contemporary genre like any other. 5c is interested in everything comic strip-related and is open to genre-blurring work.
