Éditions Matière

Established in early 2003, Éditions Matière acts at the crossroads of comics, visual arts and graphic design through four series.
The “Imagème” series publishes comic strip works, and works that have a close relationship with comic strips. The “Séquences” series explores the relationships between comics and sequential productions that are close to or that attempt to distance themselves from comics. The “Matériaux” series proposes a drawn (paper) strip for each issue. The “One divides into Two” series jointly releases drawings and theory, in books that are in all respects clear-cut.
Constituted in an association under the French law of 1901, the Éditions Matière are members of the Syndicat de l’édition alternative (SEA). The public is encouraged to investigate what kind of alternative we are talking about.
